I suppose technically, these aren't all garden shots, still I consider them garden affiliated. This evening the sky was cloudy, but with that certain broken cloudiness that seems to make colors fluoresce. This seemed like somewhat of a fleeting moment and given the fact that it is late August, I thought I better carpe the diem.
Surprisingly (at least to me) I didn't reach for my Lomo LC-W, which is loaded with Superia, instead I grabbed the Sun & Cloud. My first shots were with the ISO set to 800, but that wasn't working for me with the camera in Vivid Color mode. ISO 100 was much more to my liking. I guess I'm learning about my preferences with this camera. For black & white, ISO 800 is the way to go for me. I love that high contrast, chunky, grainy look. For color though, I think a smidge more subtle is more up my alley.
Oh, I mentioned the other day that the Sun & Cloud has a Macro mode, well it has Macro, Portrait and Ordinary (my naming convention on the ordinary). I think I've stumbled upon the perfect digital camera.
